Since early January 2019, Printemps Haussmann has invited visitors to peek behind the scenes on a guided tour from the department store's basement all the way to its rooftop terrace and its spectacular view of the French capital, including its iconic Art Deco dome.
Since the start of 2019, Printemps Haussmann has invited visitors to peek behind the scenes on a guided tour from the department store’s basement all the way to its rooftop terrace and its spectacular view of the French capital, including its iconic Art Deco dome.
Organised in partnership with Manatour, a platform offering cultural tours around Paris, these tours have already drawn in close to 4,000 visitors, with individuals accounting for 37% and group tours making up the remaining 63%.
So far, the experience has delighted participants, who have awarded it a 4.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor, while also leaving glowing reviews: "A beautiful and surprising tour. I had no idea the building contained so many hidden gems. In addition to its history and the superb view from the terrace, the tour guide’s stories transported us back to 19th century Paris." As well as: "The view of Paris' rooftops under a splendid sun was breath-taking. Touring the building’s secret passages and learning about its history was an extraordinary experience."
