PRINTEMPS LILLE X ACID GALLERY : FASHION ILLUSTRATION

On the occasion of its partnership with Acid Gallery, Printemps Lille is hosting an exhibition of contemporary art until 27 March, 2021. The work of Sébastien Dominici, a graphic artist, painter and designer, is featured in the exhibition, presented mainly on the third floor of the store, between the service and travel sections.

Passionate about resin, surf-culture and freestyle customisations, Sébastien creates work that represents the skater generation, the punk attitude and a counterculture open to all types of shapes and visual experiments. Each of his works is created using mixed media (acrylic, markers, lead pencils and collage).
Having fallen into obsolescence in the mid-1960s in favour of photography, fashion illustration is today experiencing a true return to grace, seducing Dior, Guerlain, Balenciaga, Loewe and the major fashion magazines in the process. This phenomenon can be explained in part by the ultra-democratisation of photography, often retouched to the extreme.
The exhibition offers a mix of culture and fun to in-store shoppers.
